I wouldn't mind having the extended battery for the Incredible, but I can't find a skin case that supports its size? Does anyone know of any cases to fit the larger battery/door ?
I don't think you read my question right. A case that will fit the device when you are using the larger battery/cover . I haven't found any cases that will fit the device so I have hesitated on getting the extended battery and cover.
Its a great deal on 2 batteries and they are very good batteries actually. Many incredible owners got them. A couple threads on androidforums about them actually.
Im not sure how much extra life you are wanting but this should give you enough battery to make it thru 24 hours. I have actually made it 50+ hours on 1 charge with these batteries

I know that you have always liked your Incredible- awesome phone! Do you think you will be getting the Thunderbolt?
i am torn between the Evolution from LG and the TB. The LG appears to be setup with BING from VZW. Root and such can get rid of that and load all the google apps but i would like better solution out of the gate first.
Since both have about the same specs but the TB will be out first i think i will get it. I will then upgrade in 10 months on my 1 year contract and get 2nd gen dual core device i think. We will see though

Yeah I can't wait for the Thunderbolt to drop- love those HTC phones. I just hope battery life is decent.
Matt
I bookmarked the page, thanks again. That will certainly save and let me use the case I have as well as the current back. I don't understand why the carriers don't have these as well.
they do have a 2150mah battery that is very good but does require a new back and case. But results are very good with it too. that would be another recommendation to try if the 1800 is not enough for you.
I think the 1800 will suffice. I don't want the added weight. I had tried it and returned it and also because there is no case that fits it. I want more than a day's and depending on the amount I use it, am usually charging more than one time.
I have the 1800 battery and it didn't give me more battery life. I think it's a rebadged battery.
I get around 4 hours awake time with the 1300 and htc 1500 batteries. The 1800 also have me around 4 hours awake time. I get around 6 hours awake time with the extended 2150 battery from vzw.

awake time alone doesnt mean much though...what is the total uptime with awake time.
you can have 4 hours awake time in a 24 hour period and the battery be dead and you can have 4 hours of awake time in a 10 hours period and be dead. granted each battery should give you more total use but the awake time doesnt always indicate there is a problem with the battery
i wouldnt use that as a measure. I was awake 13-15 hours of that 50 hour stretch of uptime with the single charge.
if you are using a task killer stop, that is the first thing to getting better battery life. Use wifi if you can also. Otherwise there are many things that go into getting better battery life.
Wow! That's really good battery life!!
Yeah, I don't use a task killer. And wifi when I can. I've never had more than four hours awake time from a single charge with the 1300, 1500 or 1800 barriers. I guess your mileage will vary.

I don't have a task killer knew not to get it. I don't have access to wifi unless I am in Phoenix. I do turn the phone off at night . It isn't on 24 hrs a day. I charge it every night.
The original question was are there cases to use with extended batteries and covers. YES. Go to http://htcpedia.com/news/case-cover-htc-droid-incredible-extended-batteryc.html
Moreover, the small increase in weight is far exceeded by the tremendous increase in usage you get. Overwhelming numbers agree that the 3500mAH battery will provide 30 to 45 hours of heavy usage per charge. Consider the Seidio brand which is more expensive but has the best rating.
