I like the idea of the samsung moment. Good keypad, amazing processor, good camera, good apps....
Problem is, I don't want to be locked in with sprint. Is there an unlocked version of this phone? If not, what phone would you point me to? I have the 9700 right now & I'm so sick of all the issues I've had with this phone. Any ideas on which phone to switch to?

Hmmmm.........haven't heard anything about an unlocked version of the Moment and, to be honest, I don't think it would work on T-Mobile or AT&T since there's no place to insert a SIM Card. I guess the closest thing to the Moment (if you want a touch screen/keyboard combo) would be a Motorola Droid.

If anyone can correct me on this, please do so.

The Droid is a CDMA phone, just like the Moment.

i thought the droid was a world phone so it has a sim slot. i know the moment is only cdma but i thought maybe there was a phone close to the moment. as far as the cliq goes i'm not a fan of it. i played with it a little but it's just not for me.

The Droid is not a world phone, there are no GSM bands (no sim slot). There is a GSM version of the Droid called the Milestone though. IIRC, the Milestone will only work on Edge on AT&T though because the HSDPA (3G) frequency bands aren't at 850/1900 like AT&T.

    Motorola Milestone

To be honest though, the keyboard isn't the greatest on the Motorola Droid/Milestone.

Well that goes for any winmo phone but the TP2 is the best option across all carriers in regards to the screen and keyboard.

i tried out the tp2 & it was cool but the winmo 6.5 pro threw me off. great phone, but a little to much then what i was looking for. what's the major differences between the tp2 & tilt 2 from at&t?

The tilt is just at&t's version of the touch pro.

right on, i know there's small differences between the sprint tp2 & at&t's tilt. just processor & battery life. i didn't like the battery life on the moment & the task manager didn't work that well. hmm, this is gonna be a tough one haha

I was just at a T-M store and looked at a Cliq, It seems to have a nice physical keyboard. I did not use the Touch Screen.

If you don't want/need a keyboard the HTC HD is coming to T-Mobile

I would prefer a physical keyboard and the htc hd2 looks really rad cause now they're saying it will most likely ship with winmo 7. But there's no set release date for the phone.

    I thought you'd say that.

Now the only thing missing from the HTC HD2 is Android
