    Seems to increasingly be the case based on BB, Nokia, HTC, Apple, and now Google. I think the mobile "Gold Rush" period is over and now it's about fighting to get people to switch platforms. Kinda like how carriers try to get you to switch.

    I think the evidence for this is clearly seen in the 41MP camera from Nokia. Seriously.

    On to the next big thing, whatever it turns out to be (Google Glass, iWatch, BlackBerry 10 Automotive, M2M, etc)...

    G-men still rocked $14+ Billion in revenue, and $3+ Billion in income. Still lower than expected.

    They did only miss expectations by $300 million, still a huge quarter for them with both revenue and net income up 19% and 16% respectively. With profits of $3.23 billion and $54.4 billion in the bank, I doubt they are too worried right now lol. The next two quarters should be quite good for them with the new Nexus 7 tablet being announced on July 24th and Motorola's Moto X being released soon.

    Mobile (Android) theoretically is a $0 earning stream for Google, right? So what exactly besides search are their revenue streams?

    They (probably) lose money on each Nexus device sold at $300
    They (probably) lose money on Google Fiber
    Acquisitions, etc. obviously cost money too
