    It's a deal breaker for me. i got the Tour from Curve because it's global.

    same with me. I need a global phone, and got the Tour becuase of it, and soon the New Bold for Verizon since its a Global phone as well

    I know everyone on this thread knows this, but in case someone who isn't knowledgeable comes along: There are global capable android's (GSM), just none that run on verizon or sprint (CDMA) networks.

    All the GSM ones I've looked at are quad band EDGE. 3G is dependent on the respective region and carrier of course.

    I'm kinda surprised that google or HTC hasn't gotten GSM and CDMA support built in yet. Though at the rate those two are pumping out devices and OS updates, I don't imagine it'll be too much longer
