Not sure how to type on a 6" wide keyboard with the weight of a small car, but to each his own.
Yep I hear what you're saying however from the posts I've read it appears to be blackberry key 2 users who have shown the most interest, there are more and more options with keyboards becoming available out there, Titan , Cosmo communicator, f(x) 1, maybe it's time for TCL to up their game and forget the pathetic different coloured phones and get making new blackberry phones
Pretty sure TCL is done with the whole thing - and that's after selling 1.5 to 2 million devices.
Each of those devices you list will probably sell less than 15,000 units each, and will disappear in short order too.
I had a chance to lay my hands on it and meet the creators.
My preorder payment has been already processed, waiting for the device to be shipped (they are delaying it a lot).
It's a small company, but they didn't try to build a phone for masses, they built it for them (and us). The nicest thing I've heard in the showroom when a bunch of pkb nerds told the creator "Dude, you're one of us!" :)
They won't be going into retail soon (or ever), since retail is too expensive, so don't expect this phone to be available at your local best buy.
What I really like is that it completely goes with the approach of being able to work without touching the screen. I liked much the Samsung Galaxy Relay 4G landscape slider much better than the portrait keyboard. I ended up with BB only because at the time of K1 and K2 those were the only decent pkb phones available.
Ask me in a few weeks (hopefuly) how is the fxtec pro1 and what I think and what I miss from the K2.
