    1. Does anyone have the HTC sync desktop program working with their EVO?

Installed the one off the phone SD card and it wouldn't detect the EVO when it was plugged into USB, downloaded & installed the updated one from the HTC website and it didn't work either.

    2. I assume to get the USB tethering to work, you have have the HTC Sync working on the PC side? (See above)

    3. What does one use for backup of their EVO? I'm spoiled with BlackBerry's with DM and BES but I haven't found anything to backup my EVO (But I'm new with the whole Android OS thing).

    3. Is it normal for the EVO to feel warm? I understand the whole, "it's a mini computer" thing but after 10-15 minutes of use, the back of the phone is warm, I assume this from the battery but if so that's not good for the life of the the battery

I dont have one yet, but from some posts I saw and talking to reps here is what I got.

    1. there are supposedly known issues with the USB support and/or SD cards that came with the phones

    2. your contacts and stuff get backed up thru gmail on default. No way to backup the phone from what i understand otherwise unless you get a 3rd part app.

But what I if use the Exchange Activesync to connect to my enterprise system, what easy third party apps allow backup without too much user involvement?
