For all those like me who heard all different things about getting out of your BB contract to get the new droid X over at best buy (pre order plus no mail in rebate hassles) cannot do it unless your up for a new 2 year contract.

They will let you upgrade if you have a non smartphone but if your using a berry verizon said it's a "in house" only upgrade there letting us do and not through indirect retailers.

Which means no pre order for me, hopefully no issues on july 15th in store.
