What is the difference dumb question ive flashed roms, rooted , and etc and i want to keep a certain text message and my settings would that all be saved under data or what?,....
i need to backup 2 text messages, and my settings under brightness etc and that...
Since you're already rooted, pay the $4 for Titanium Backup. It does a backup of all your apps and their data, plus the Market link so updates will work after a new ROM.
Unrelated, but SMS Backup is nice too. Backs up your texts to a label in your Gmail account, but I don't believe it restores to the device. Still nice though.
