Does anything similar to BB Protect exist for Android? I'd like to be able to lock, track, remotely wipe, and back up my phone. What are my options? Thanks!

I'm not trying to get with anything that's going to be a monthly / yearly subscription service. Nor do I want anything that rolls in virus / spyware protection BS.

Then you won't like Norton Security since it is paid. I am a RIM convert. After reading what is does to protect the phone, I got it. A small price to pay.

I have Phone Locator Pro. It comes quite highly recommended although I hope I never have to use it. There are quite a few free ones like Where's my DROID etc but the paid ones seem a bit more quality.

I've used Lookout for years and have no complaints and never paid a dime.

Does it have remote lock / wipe without paying? Those look like they're subscription only features.

I'll give Phone Locator a look. I don't mind paying, as long as its a one time fee.

Yes, one-time fee (if it's a paid app) is important. No way am I paying a subscription for any app. Phone Locator Pro is very comprehensive and the devs are responsive. If your phone gets stolen you can even have it take photos of the thief. Plus you can activate any remote actions via the web. Have a look at it... I believe there is a non-paid option as well.

You're going to have to find a more recent thread, or start a new one if you need help.
