I'm using the gingerbread launcher by modaco. ..very nice and smooth. Launcherpro is also pretty good,never tried adw.

Let's get this out of the way first: It's very very very personal. So fiddle with what's available, and see what you can use on a daily basis.

ADW's stuff for practicality. I do like Launcher Pro's advantageous use of the touch screen, but I found after a little bit, it is somewhat limited.

i use GoLauncher. before that i used Launcher Pro. all the launchers listed are pretty good so try them out for urself. i dnt think there is a BEST of anything (app wise). its all in what YOU prefer.

i was using launcherpro for a long time but now using GO launcher and its pretty good. Both of these launchers are very similar in options.

ADW for me, its got built in gestures amongst all the other goodies. Launcher Pro is good to. Both have TONS of customization though so give it a chance to settle in before changing/dropping either

It depends on your device. If you have HTC, ADW may seem better because you have HTC widgets already (who doesn't love those) if you don't have HTC get launcher pro, it has like 10 HTC widgets, yeah, something ADW has zilch. IMO. I bought both, but LPP seems to run better for me, though with ADW I had to piece meal widgets from the market. LPP I only run 3 widgets not built into the launcher. They are a few bucks, just get them both and miss nothing because they are on tap

I liked launcher pro plus for customization. The rom I'm running now works a little different but I do miss the scrolling task bar at the bottom.

I will have to break from the group and say I LOVE ADW Ex launcher....
Very customizable and now features the customizing of docks. It still does not have the FB/Twitter or Calendar widgets but those I don't really use. This is a launcher I really enjoy using.
