if you are not in perfect light it wont work very well , go to a well lit room and give it a try

also...my home cpu doesnt recongnize the phone when its pluged up,its asking me to install a disk

sounds like a driver issue , it should pop up as a removable disk

There's at least two or three different barcode apps. Does anyone have a suggestion for which one they're using and why?

this app does work good when it finds the item but i wish it would show local stores pricing of the item
