Im sure there's a few things in the bb10 OS that Google might find useful. They have enough cash for it. I'd feel bad to throw away a perfect OS.

Hub, peek gestures, calculator, notes, blend, file manager, sleek design, alarm/clock, smooth & efficient OS. The maps was nice and simple. Also the customizable quick settings.

The most important features of the bb10 OS was the priority hub and blend.

Google has an OS. It's more profitable, It kinda works and why would they buy BB10? BB10 is dead! It's never coming back because it failed! It failed so bad that BB moved on to Android. Android! the OS that was bashed on this very site for years. Android! The OS that is now embraced by the same people who bashed it for years. Isn't it ironic, don't ya think! A little tooooo Ironic. Yeah, I really do think. LOL

I really doubt the Google board is agonizing over BlackBerry's calculator.

Why should they buy it when it will likely wind up open source like webOS & land in toasters & such...??

Because there's no value in it. As great as it is, nobody uses it apart from a couple users that still haven't transitioned to Android. If there's no audience then there's nothing to monetize.

Sometimes I think we are too close to Bb10 emotionally in these forums. Take a step back and look at it from a business sense and you'll agree.
