I think that BlackBerry, being a software company, would release the apps as the handset business continues to diminish... I will likely be getting the HTC 10 and would like to have the Priv apps (hub, keyboard...). If I have to jailbreak the phone, I will, but I'm hoping that I won't need to.

    Never, until it's too late.

Like how they thought BBM was going to make waves cross platform but it wasnt too late but worse, it was too little. Which devalued their brand even more.

    These idiots are done boys.

I think it will happen. But I think they will wait until they get some more polishing done. I also think they will charge a little. I think people will pay $10 for a package deal.

Depends on the value of their sole. At this point does not appear to be much.

I'm sure some of you have come across this unofficial way of installing BlackBerry apps on other android devices. But for those who have not this is a solution to that thanks to cobalt

Given what it offers and what is already free on the market, I wouldn't pay more than $5. And that's assuming they have some business sense and actually release it, which is becoming less likely.

Did they even release the "BlackBerry suite" yet?

No? Then yea, sorry, no one wants their software either.

Too little too late, people swear by Swiftkey and swiping even though the BlackBerry vkb is easily the best.

Same with whatsapp, people swore by that even though BBM was easily the best.

Someone at BlackBerry really had and has no idea what they're doing.

I think they could sell the suite of apps easily for $20.

I had a Z30 and hated how it lacked the ability of common android apps and even cisco anyconnect (which was required for any business user that worked at a large company).
But, the hub, email, texting, pictures, even wifi copying of files off, the bedside mode, was absolutely perfect compared to anything on android.
I assumed that Android would be the same or better, but I was wrong.
I tried several apps, launchers, and exchange email apps. Nothing came close the BB hub suite.

Because now the Z30 runs Cisco Anyconnect and can run many android apps, I am thinking of switching back. I still have my old phone. The only things the Z30 are missing are wireless charging, fingerprint scanner, and full android app compatibility.

If Blackberry would fix the Android Hub suite apps to work exactly like they do on the BB OS then I would gladly pay $20 for it. Seriously no one on the entire planet has made an android app better than the hub which is very, very sad. It is a completely untapped market.

RIM's goal should be making a launcher, hub, apps, etc that integrate nicely with any android phone, but work exactly like the apps on blackberry 10. While the current hub app is the best, they still have a little work to do to get it into a sell-able state.
