Hi there, I have a weird issue with just the brightness of one app.

Every time I open up Whatsapp my phone gets annoyingly dimmer - as soon as I dismiss the app to the background or close it the screen brightness returns to normal

I tried reinstalling the app - without even connecting to my account upon getting the whatsapp welcome screen the phone brightness reduces significantly

Any idea what this could be, it only happens with the one app and there doesn't seem to be any settings anywhere governing this (that I can find at least)
