How do you get rid of ads? Is there a paid version?

There is a paid version. You have to look in the settings.

I went to widgets and added google weather and news. In settings, I put display weather only. You need to have your locations on. It's always on
The big problem with free apps is companies want to make money somewhere, so they place ads. I'm still looking for a good app for weather. Another option, Ask Google the weather. "Ok Google..(pause)..What's the weather in ______ today." It's instant and you don't have to worry about adds! That is the plus of Android. Have fun with that one

I use one called "ORBIT". Its nothing fancy in terms of the weather info, just temperature and prediction. But they show the globe in 3D (Google-Earth'ish concept) and superimpose a real-time cloud distribution (requires data connection) as well as day/night indication on the globe. Kind of like looking down at the earth from space.

Its kind of gimmicky, but I love the app! Especially validating the cloud profiles during hurricane season.

I only use a tiny 1Weather one. Just the temp. Very subtle. Otherwise I don't use them. I do like the pop up ones though.

I get it, free apps need to generate revenue through ads. Still hate them though.

I use the stock BB10 app, but it's really nothing special. There's certainly something better on Android.

I have been using this application since BlackBerry OS 10. I have noticed a few minor display glitches on the BlackBerry Priv but not a show stopper. Maybe the BlackBerry OS 10 version of the application set the bar too high for BlackBerry Android users.
