I've been using textra and liking it over Google messenger more options. Haven't used hangouts!

I like Textra because it works as an overlay, and doesn't have to open a separate app. Notifications to Hub don't always work properly with it though.

Messenger was opening a new instance every reply and cloggin up my open apps page.

Hangouts is a resource hog.

I have tried others during past 3 weeks...
I am charmed by its simplicity and a Night skin I have downloaded...

This app handles my texts as intended, plus it blends into overall look and feel of my phone....
So far no issues with the Hub...

Chompsms and textra are the same developers. So you'll be fine with either.

Textra has a night skin built in, no need to download something else.
I thought about trying Hangouts, but wayyyyy too many reports of it being a resource hog, (battery) and checking your location 400+ times a day.

Read somewhere that Textra used to be the 'lite' version of Chomp, but features kept being added till it's pretty much the same now.

Just tried Textra and due to it's overlay style layout it almost feels like you're not leaving the hub.

I'm Wondering if BlackBerry's Launcher encourage more devs to implement this way of commenting.

Not sure. As soon as I downloaded the app and tried to send an MMS to myself, nothing happens. The picture would just disappear.

Using Textra, has anyone figured out how to input pictures/MMS? I press the '+' button but nothing comes up underneath..

Press and hold the +for about 2 seconds, when you release a menu will pop up on the bottom. Very bottom row, third from the left is the picture icon, you can choose other stuff.

Weird. For the longest time the attachment options wouldn't load. Had to reset a few before everything showed up

I think the first couple of times I tried it, I just assumed it was all emoticon related and didn't really look.
