Thanks to wu-wei, we have brand new updates to TeleBBM and PlusBBM! I'm a fairly newish user of Telegram, but I feel right at home there, now that I can use the BBM emoticons/emoji that I've loved for years.

Not only that, these updates still run beautifully on BB10 devices, thanks to Telegram still supporting versions that can run on Android Runtime 4.1 and newer. (BB10's ART is frozen at 4.3). I'm using PlusBBM with other former BBM users, and it is nothing short of fantastic.

Seriously, I am so grateful to you, wu-wei, for keeping this project going!

For those of you new to this thread, go back to the FIRST POST in it, and scroll down to the Feb 9, 2019 update info, where there are links to installing the newest versions of TeleBBM and PlusBBM.

I'm trying to install the TeleBBM apk on my Q10, 10.3.2.2836. I get the 'there is not enough space' error. Restarts don't fix it, and I have many GB of free space on the 'phone.

Any ideas?

I have Cobalt's Blackberry Google ID and Google Account, but not the Google Play store in case that makes a difference.

You don't need Google anything to install TeleBBM on our Q10. Just download the latest apk file directly and double click it to install.

I'm sorry - I received no notification of this reply!

I have the apk, but cannot install it. I get the 'do you allow this app to access...' message, then a 'cannot complete, not enough space' error. There are numerous GB on both the internal memory and the media card.

The media card shouldn't matter, but if it thinks your available internal storage is too low, that could prevent it from installing. Try removing any unused apps, moving video and images to your SD card, deleting your browser cache, setting your camera to save images to your SD card by default, and then reboot your device before installing TeleBBM. No guarantees, but that might help.

What about Parental Controls - did you possibly turn them on a long time ago to block Android installs?

I can't say I'm au fait with apks, but I do not have Parental Controls activated. I have just tried to download a free app at random from the Amazon App Store to test your theory, but the Ghostery browser I selected failed even to download. Perhaps the BB10 Android is not sufficient for it?

Or as you say, that could be another symptom that points to a faulty runtime...

Are you able to direct me to a 'known good' apk that could confirm or rule out this suspicion?

I've been out of the country and only now have been able to try this suggestion - the Telegram website says I cannot install the app from Telegram.org as I haven't the Google Play store. I have the Google ID which is correctly registered.
