Ever since this was featured on my old BB10 Q10 and BB Link on Windows 7, I've been trying to find something similar but have not yet found a comparable solution.

Like if I have a 4gb movie file on my PC that I'd like to watch on my tablet or phone in the other room, most android file managers I've found try to "download" the entire file onto the tablet before playing it. That may be a solution for small files like pictures or music but that simply won't work for large movie files.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

You can do this with the free VLC Player which is very good and plays just about any video format.
