so far I am a happy user of Spotify but since yesterday night the app crashs anytime I start it.
I already cleared cache, rebooted (even the 32 second trick) but it keeps down.

Any knowledge or insight on this issue one might share?

I don't know how to help you, but just so you know that it's not a universal flaw, I do not have this problem with Spotify on my LE.

Since you already tried what I would have suggested (particularly clearing the cache), I now suggest to Uninstall the app and go to apkmirror.com to see if you can get the prior version which may be free of this problem
