I'm assuming this has been asked before, but I did a search and could not find the thread.

We have the Amazon app, and the Amazon Shopping app.

I believe the Amazon app is being discontinued, but it only shows a way for me to disable it. Is this the only option?

With Prime day today, I've been getting double notifications, and wanted to see this before, I simply disable the notifications...

Generally if it won't uninstall... not much you can do without root access.

What phone is this and did you buy it unlocked or via a carrier.

You can "remove" the 2 apps with Sachesi. Although they will reappear after a reboot, they will remain completely inert if you don't sign in.

Edit: Oops, guess you meant BlackBerry Android. Just disable the app.

Are we talking about a BlackBerry 10 phone, or a BlackBerry Android phone?

The question (except the title) and Conite's response assumes BB10, but this is posted in the BB Android section. Just a bit confused.

Did the android phones get the Amazon apps too?

Sorry I wasn't explicit. This is on my Motion.

If I remember, I think it came preloaded with the Amazon app.

But I think I downloaded the Amazon Shopping app sometime after visiting the site on the mobile browser. Because it allows me to uninstall that one.

I can't seem to uninstall the one on the left. But when I open it up, it greets me with the "Support for this app will stop soon" phrase.

I remember seeing that in my K1 but I don't see it in my K2. So it might need a OS update to remove it.

My Motion is all updated. But anyways, in the mean time I've just disabled the notifications.

It is caused by your Sim card - Try a sim from a different carrier and it might disappear.
