I'm sure this has been answered, but couldn't find it in a search.

When I used Google maps the other day on my key2, it kept going to sleep. I know some apps have an override for that, but I couldn't find it in any of the settings?

I did not have a route planned, I was just tracking my route and keeping an eye on traffic. I did look at the permissions and I have allowed it location, but not storage. (Disclaimer, I am often clueless on what apps need what permissions, outside of the obvious.)

How can I get Google Maps to keep the phone awake?

Found the answer. To keep Google maps from sleeping, in the menu in the upper left hand corner of maps, select Start Driving, and then maps do not go to sleep, even if you are not using navigation.
