I have been using Image Gallery.

I don’t particularly like Google Photo’s.

What I don’t like about android, as opposed to BB OS, is the SMAP inside of everything. Very annoying when you first get android.

Anyway, Image Gallery is pretty good but it has ads it throws up, every time you open it, before you can access the photo’s. Sometimes, it’s a short movie. And, if you save an edited image, you can keep the original. I think G Photo's only saves the edit and you lose the original.

Is there any gallery that shows you all your pictures, lets you edit, and doesn’t contain ads?

FYI the Simple Gallery has several brother and sister apps which are open-source and free of annoying ads. Check out the F-Droid app store.

You can crop and rotate photos from within the app but if you want to do anything more advanced it gives you the option to open another app.

My Image Galley one, freezes one a while.

This Simple Galley, suggested here, seems to be working pretty nice. I use Image Gallery to edit. Try it out.

I use Piktures, and also F-Stop. I have never had Piktures freeze. I am running it on a Priv. I use it extensively too since I do photography and transfer my edited images from my cameras to the phone for display and sharing.

you can go to Xda forums and download sony's ported albums app. it is pretty good! I see that quickpic has already been mentioned, so I can't recommend anything else. focus gallery is another alternative which you might want to try
