    Hi everyone,

The moment you have been waiting for... a Priv OS autoloader and now a dump of the system files.

I will be maintaining a thread on XDA as well.

Link to XDA thread: BlackBerry Priv Autoloader - QC8992 AAC826 | BlackBerry Priv (Venice) | XDA Forums

*WARNING: THIS CAN BRICK YOUR DEVICE WITH NO FIX AT THIS TIME.*

Only works with this device - ShopBlackBerry STV100-1 (na variant with no subvariant)
    OS - AAC826

What I bring you is an OS autoloader for the BlackBerry Priv. My understanding that this is meant for the ShopBlackBerry (possibly Amazon) variant of the Priv only. It checks for has a script in the batch file checks for the variant and subvariant, if these do not match it will error. Removing the check and installing it on a non-supported Priv WILL brick the device, this has been confirmed.

This is destructible load and will wipe all data.

I would like to see what subvariants are for each model. I will update the chart below as we get more information.

You can see the variant and subvariant by using "Terminal Emulator for Android" which you can download from the Google PlayStore. Here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...al.androidterm

In the command line type getprop

The output of the fields I am looking for are as follows:

    ro.boot.binfo.variant
    ro.boot.binfo.subvariant

Please post them here and I will update the chart below.
Distributor Model Variant Subvariant Compatible w/ Autoloader
AT&T (US Carrier) STV100-1 na att NO!
ShopBlackBerry.com STV100-1 na none Yes (but use at your own risk!)
Telus, Rogers (CA carriers) STV100-3 apac none NO!
O2 (UK carrier) STV100-4 emea none NO!

I haven't had much time to this point to mess around with the files, but will continue to look through them.

    Mega files: https://mega.nz/#!XwwgXKSa!jW5QtNnqh...t3WqOMTKPoBC_4

BlackBerry Android Support Software (Drivers): https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...1570F46266A608

Holding down the power button and volume down key for 30 seconds will take you to the BlackBerry Bootloader menu.

I will continue to update OP as we learn more.

Oh and if you brick your device you are out of luck at this point. So again don't screw around with this unless you know what you are doing or have money and time to waste.

    - Mr. Freeze

Edit: I was able to dump all of the system files and img's.

Here is link to the dump: https://mega.nz/#!z5AGyaaS!cxVwt_pSC...xX8_-JhCLzuoaU

P.S. Thanks Usman for help procuring this!

[WARN]This thread and this autoloader is for advanced users ONLY. CrackBerry can not be held responsible if you use this program and brick your device. It is provided as is and again is recommended for advanced users only. In other words if you don't know what an autoloader is, and you are not comfortable with command line functions, DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM![/WARN]

Well first of all it won't work but this will sure be interesting. I can't wait to see to questions that will be asked.

NO IT WILL NOT WORK ON STL100-1. Figured I get it out of the way.

Oh, if and when someone bricks their device for not reading the OP...bwhahahahahahaha

Hai bro, will this work on STL100-1 hsss

Anyway, I was hoping for a more device-agnostic method of updating, but alas.

Waiting for the first logcat reports when an OTA update comes.

The OP says it's for -1 only...
So either you or OP is wrong.

Did you edit the bat file?

It is only a matter of time until there is an autoloader of Android for the Passport.
Considering the Passport has the same hardware cryptographic key security as the Priv.
    Someone figure it out!!!

I have edited the batch file and bricked a device. Not recommended. lol

It appears that even if your device is STV100-1 it does not mean its the correct device. The sub-variant has to match as well.

Maybe someone with an Amazon PRIV can check its subvariant? I'm curious because I just ordered the PRIV from Amazon today and so far it hasn't shipped, so in case the Amazon subvariant is not the same as the ShopBlackBerry one I might just cancel the my order.

I would imagine they are the same, but I would manually check before proceeding. Even then if you don't need to run this than I wouldn't.

Don't take this as a definitive answer that the Priv is coming to T-Mobile or Sprint, but I found their boot animations in here.

Also found Verizons, which we know is coming.

Verizon's is an animated boot image without audio.
T-Mobile's is a static image and it includes the default T-Mobile ringtone.
Sprint's is an animated boot image without audio.

Should be a long time if at all, given how the SoC of the Priv is not that of the Passport.

I thought this may have been the reason VZW's version was delayed. They had to go and change the VZW branding stamped on ten different places of the device.
