I had to switch to S8 for my work, so I "blackberrized" my s8 as much as I could. One thing that drives me nuts is the white navigation bar at the bottom. I changed the settings to black, but it only appears white with Blackberry keyboard. Does anyone have a clue how to make it black when I use the bb keyboard?

You could try magic marker or electric tape or
give the "G Board" a try. It's free and comes with a great choice of skins.

Is it any wonder people prefer the pixel and nexus lines?

Hell, even BlackBerry doesn't do stuff like that.

The S8 is a very nice phone, I really like the design but... just don't buy Samsung.

The hardware is fine but the software leaves much to be desired.

The nav bar on the Pixel does the same when the BlackBerry Keyboard is installed. So it is not specific to a Samsung device.

More likely, its the result of installing an app meant for BlackBerry devices only on other devices. I consider it a small annoyance to have the BB keyboard.

I've used it on my work S7 for months with no issue. Only improvement I'd like to see is the light mode offered in BB10.
