BlackBerry needs to port their browser to android and five us a choice.

...why?
Is the current choice of Android browsers unsatisfactory? Would yet another generic Webkit browser solve all problems?
OK Socrates, I like the BlackBerry Browser and some of the features it offers. I think they should port it.

honestly, compared to whats available on Android for browser selection (Chrome, FireFox) and the fact that you can sync things like favorites from the desktop platform to mobile, BB10 browser wouldnt even be looked it.
It couldn't compete with other Browsers on Android like BB10 virtual Keyboard and BB10 Hub would on Android.
I've been using Firefox lately as it allows add-ons download like AdBlocker, etc..
Good luck
I see no reason for it really as I find firefox chrome far better as it is
I've been using the the Opera Beta browser. To my surprise it's pretty good. While the BlackBerry browser is good I haven't missed it for a second.

I've tried a bunch of Android browsers. I'm sticking with lightning for now, but honestly, I also want the blackberry browser back. Oh, and the file manager too.

Put the addressbar at the bottom of the screen, not the top.

There are quite a few bb10 apps and features I miss. The browser was good but didn't make the list.

Is there an android browser that lets you view demo videos (ie fitocracy) and audio files without actually having to download them first?
In the blackberry browser I could quickly watch the video with no problem. On the Priv I have to download the video, go to downloads, watch the video, then delete it... what a PITA! I've tried Chrome and Firefox. I'm all for them porting the BB Browser if it's the only one that keeps me from having to go through this process! I'm an android newbie so if there is some setting I can change that I'm not finding, please let me know!
Blackberry should be able to modify the Google Chrome Web browser to make the location of the URL address bar user configurable. This is the one feature that I miss about BlackBerry OS 10 besides the fully integrated BlackBerry Hub. Surprisingly BlackBerry Android is quite good so I trust BlackBerry will update BlackBerry Android instead of forcing users to buy a new smartphone.

err Chrome doesnt download anything like that for me
I watch a vido or play files straight from the browser, no download needed
Wait do you mean file links and not embedded files?
I am thinking they are links? When you click on one it opens a small window to view
Chrome is better. No need for BlackBerry browser. It's all a gimmick

blackberry browser was better until the bb10 team was dismantled and sold off to Apple and other top firms.

Like many things in life, competition catches up.
Blackberry were caught standing still....again
BlackBerry Browser is designed for BlackBerry 10 not Android.
and? at the height of its powers, the BB10 browser outranked most desktop browsers in terms of speed. it was certainly better than any Android browser at one point.

And now its not.
Shame really that Blackberry couldnt learn from past mistakes
The BlackBerry browser sucks now. I've been voicing my opinion on that for an now. However it will get an update

Why their is no option for low quality image in BlackBerry browser. High quality images consume lots of data.

Two features I love about bb browser are Reading that clears the main content and voice reading of the content. It also works through my car's Bluetooth. If there is an alternative I would love to hear it..
