Another not so smart move Blackberry, you made it hard to buy a BB10 Blackberry and now you don't even have to buy an Android BB to get BB10 features. Does the term shooting yourself in the foot mean anything to you.

Very smart move by Blackberry. Now, no restriction of using blackberry devices to use these favourite apps.

I can't install on Moto G 4 with Marshmallow 6.01 installed.... says "Your device isn't compatible with this version."? This is a throw away phone until my priv on vzw gets here but kind of short sighted to not support all current devices.
That's odd, I installed it on my Moto G4 Plus with 6.0.1 and it works well, except for new email notifications...

You only get Error 505 if you have old Blackberry Cobalt apps and mixed it with the new one that Blackberry provide in the Playstore.
Uninstall all the apps and restart your phone.
After that you have 2 choices
    1) you go to the Playstore and install only the official apps.
    2) you download the new Blackberry Manager from Cobalt, and install only them

I did the second option and Hub+ works fine on my Samsung Edge S7
    DarkJoker33 and jjm3000 like this.

I'm curious whether the suite will be available for iOS as there are limitations unlike android from being able to open other apps within apps.

$12 for the whole suite / year. Seem to be a fair deal.
I will go for it .

you can keep all apps that are not mentioned above or that don't yet have an update..has the device search had an update ?

My abbreviated Cobalt solution (on lollipop) works so well that I am nervous about making any changes. As luck would have it my Samsung was upgraded to Marshmallow today.

WOW, so my only reason for pre-ordering the DTEK50 (BB Apps like Hub etc.) is now gone since we can run them on any Android now for $0.99 a month? This is great news!!!
There's more. Like security and the bundled mobile battery/charger.
Wait for Android N "by BlackBerry" and you'll get why you'll be happy to sport a BlackBerry No fooling here.
Moreover, the device is really great for such a price; don't be worried, you'll like it !

    - They probably have a profitability of -say- 75%+ on each license (say that's recurring $10/year/user).
    - You know the goodness of these apps, how they can be attractive and the potential market (in Billions users ...).
    - Money gained here will bring to he whole company, HW division included. That's money to invest.

It's a natural move, right in the "Software Company" strategy.
    You should rejoice, IMHO

I believe the only time he'll rejoice is if a new BB10 device comes out. He despises anything that's Android related.

    My feedback for improvement.

    1) hub notification. The spark notification doesnt show. Maybe its because of different launcher
    2) whatsapp issue. The sent messages dont show up. Only those are shown which we receive. Plus whats integration is not good. On bb10 it shows up without opening the app but here once you open the message from android version of hub, it will open app.

You're trying to explain monetization to an delusional who wants BlackBerry to keep building loss-making products.

    What's wrong with the notifications?

Sometimes it takes a bit of time for the update to allow the Hub on Google Play to filter down to everyone. Would suggest to keep trying if one person has it but not the other.

I am very sad about this since it has no support for my device which is still running Android 5.0 . BlackBerry would have supported 5.0 knowing that only about 30% of android devices are using Android 6.0
