    From today on, BlackBerry is officially supporting legacy Android devices to run their PIM suite. It looks like the apps are running in a trial mode and will after some time ask to purchase a full version.

    Now officially supported by BlackBerry:

    * BlackBerry Services
    * BlackBerry Hub
    * BlackBerry Calendar
    * BlackBerry Password Keeper

    I'm sure that more will follow.

    Instructions (if you are using my patched apps)

    * Uninstall all patched BlackBerry apps (you can keep all apps that are not mentioned above or that don't yet have an update).
    * Reboot your device
    * Download and install the apps directly from PlayStore!

    Nice move, BlackBerry :-)

    Very good move! As I think most all BB10 lovers that move to a non-BlackBerry Android phone will want these.... if the price is reasonable.

    But I think I'll wait till they have the Contacts and Keyboard apps too.

    Nice job, Cody. Being a Senior Product Manager myself at the company I'm working for, I would have done the same move. I will for sure pay for the PIM suite, love how it's working on my Samsung S6 (even when it was unofficial).

    Any infos on the pricing model or what the In-App purchases will be?

    $12 for the whole suite / year. Seem to be a fair deal.

    WOW, so my only reason for pre-ordering the DTEK50 (BB Apps like Hub etc.) is now gone since we can run them on any Android now for $0.99 a month? This is great news!!!

    The trial includes a suite of applications, including the BlackBerry Hub, calendar and password keeper. After a 30-day trial, users can continue using the apps for free with an ad-based experience, or subscribe to the entire suite of apps for 99 cents a month, which will include additional features: contacts, tasks, device search, notes and launcher.
    I don't see the keyboard listed in the coming soon apps.... Wonder if there is a licensing issue?

    I agree for $12 a year many a hardcore BB10 user will still be very happy to get the HUB. And if the ads aren't too bad maybe the rest of us will still enjoy it...

    Cobalt232 did you help BlackBerry with the Hub+ app? Was the BlackBerry Manager App made by you a bta app?

    Hm, I was also thinking of installing the suite to an android device, that makes it easier.

    Quick question though:
    What is the content of the Hub functionality? I read something from:
    - Email
    - BBM
    - Facebook
    - Instagram
    - LinkedIn
    - Pinterest
    - Slack
    - Twitter
    - WhatsApp

    How's about Textmessages, Calls, SystemUpdates as in BB10? Are they also part of the Hub or is it missing on Android?

    And what about the Productivity Task? Is it part of the SW package?

    I could imagine that this step (release) was necessary because of the introduction of Samsung Focus App. Seems to be also a cool addon.

    Thanks, Cobalt, for tiding us over until BlackBerry officially released their software on Google Play. Your efforts have been appreciated!

    This is huge for BlackBerry and I hope people finally start to realize they make some pretty darned good software in addition to hardware.

    Still on bb10 at the moment, put have been planning to move to Android for a while.

    While I certainly would be interested in the Hub+ suite, that "monthly subscription" thing is something that I'm not interested in. I'd rather an outright purchase price and be done with it.

    I've got enough nickel and dime subscriptions every month to worry about as it is. And when your budget is already tight as it is, you don't need another buck disappearing on you that you forget about what it's for.

    Yeah I made that mistake too.... https://www.mycloud.ch/s/#SD357A0E69...DE5DB0D274601/

    From BlackBerry Manager I uninstalled HUB, then downloaded and installed com.blackberry.hub-1.2.2.10861.apk and all is good again... didn't loses anything or have to reset it up (at least all seems good).

    You don NOT want to update Cobalt's apps in his BlackBerry Manager app... leave them alone. Until you are ready to use the official app.
