Exactly.
Not that it's a showstopper, but certainly frustrating.

Another vote for FX here... Definitely my go to file manager
Ghost Commander also has the dual pane interface and an SMB plugin that will allow you access Windows files on your PC (with the appropriate permissions of course) It is available on G Play store. Been using it for a couple of years .

connecting to pc over home wifi isn't an issue. connecting to home pc files over the internet from anywhere in the world is.
I was going to try this out until I checked for the permissions it asks to access.
I wouldn't worry and if you really had to hide your tracks from your regular activities you still have a BB10 device which you can strip off all the familiar tracking applications. Just don't use data to transfer your illicit contraband always use a public WiFi connection.
I think the better one is Total Commander
Just checked DTEK on the one I have been using.
Best one so far "file manager by a us" pretty happy with that one so far :)

I use Astro File Manager.
ES is good, so is Root Explorer. I haven't used Astro in a while but that's decent too.

I like Astro for the way they integrate with the cloud storage services out there (Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive).
FX file manager is growing on me as a good file manager. With the root access module, it works just as well as EZ file explorer, and I have no issues with it. I have it installed on my M8 and my Samsung Tab S2.
I use X-plore
For my needs, it is, hands down, the best file manager!

They're all good at managing files. Native Explorer is okay but ES Explorer & Ghost Commander are great, the latter of which I currently use.

FX has an issue with moving files from SD card folder to SD card folder, it just won't do it for some reason. I am not sure why this happens, so I have to connect my phone to the computer and move them via Windows.
Do we know if BlackBerry is going to port their file manager?
