Anyone have a recommendation for an android version of Fasttube, which basically does:

    -preloading for offline viewing
    - watch videos without commercials
    - use play lists

And it plays in the background.

    Thanks

You'll be hard pressed to find an app like that on Google Play. It violates YouTube (and Google's) terms of service for interacting with YouTube. They only exist on BlackBerry World because YouTube is rarely looking there for violations plus, it's not on their storefront.

Plus maybe Google isn't bothered about the few hundred BlackBerry users?

That too. I just didn't want to be that 'blunt'.

YouTube can play in the background on my Android phone but I had to go "underground" for that.

Thanks Bla1ze, yeah I figured that. Funny how some things in bb10 are better for me. It's like dropbox, I have two accounts and in bb10, I used the BlackBerry and Android apps each for a different account.
On priv I am still trying to figure out how to do that.
One account for files and one strictly for photos and for photos taken on priv and then uploaded and synced.

Ug, I guess being a small group sometimes does have its benefits.

Too bad some of the apps I depend on run better on priv than passport.

Try "Instatube", I think it has most of those features, but I haven't used it for some time.
