    Edit > Add field > Event is how I do it on my G3.

    You should have the name and picture info. Then phone sms contact info. Then address. Next theee there should be a calendar icon and it should say Date. A place for the date and a drop-down for birthday, anniversary and others. Add birthday to contact-9712.jpg

    I don't know if this helps but I entered birthdays into BlackBerry calendar app and it connects and shows in contacts.
