Anyone else notice that their Z10 overheats and freezes up while running android apps?

I hafta stick it in the freezer for a few min if I want to keep using it or reboot the phone and leave it sit til it cools off.

The android apps appear to make the processor work extra extra hard.

    Am running

Could it have something to do with the fact you're on an old version of 10.3?

This is the problem with running leaked OS's. They not finished products, and as such, come with bugs. Patience is the best way to get a worry free OS.

Probably because you are using a leak. Im on Z10STL100-3/ and my phone doesn't heat up that much even when I am playing a game.

It doesn't have any heat issues when running BlackBerry apps or games, only when running android apps and games.

It did this when I was running 10.0.2.## as well.

This is my 2nd Z10. First one got fried. Overheated to the point it burnt to touch and shut down and never powered back on.

    Also replaced battery.

Works relatively fine if I sit in front of the AC unit or a fan....

Hmmm. Wonder if there are coolin pad options like there are for laptops.

Same problm was with my z10 when i was on OS 10.2 specially when i play candy crush saga.... my problm heats up and start drain battery very fast... even i close game it's still heat up.. i have to pull out battery to get it cool down.... for 5 minutes. Last time i was using usb charger and use original usb cable to charge my cell. When its heat up my mobile also stopped storing the charging i was thinking it's becoz of processor.... but when i update my OS to 10.3 the same things happened no change .. again heat up when play candy crush and stop to store charging.... then by chance i use a local usb cable to charge it... and when i was playing candy crush it's heat up but not like before. This time its normal and never stop to store charging.... i continue playing candy crush and checking my battery then notice that battery power is increasing.. now i always use that local usb cable to charge my cell. and happy..

All of my Z10's get very hot. According to the Meet Your Device app, it gets around 110 degrees quite often.

I've noticed as you mention that Android apps make this happen quickly. However, even all-native apps can do this if they are something particularly "difficult" or long-running.

I also think it tends to get hotter as the battery is < 20%. Unless that's backwards, and the over heating makes the battery drain more quickly.
