Snap isn't an apk nor can it be found on any app store. Snap is a native google play client for blackberry. The current version is designed to look and feel similar to blackberry app world.

You can find more info about how to get it here

It allows you to sideload apps (like SNAP) directly to your phone without the use of a computer. He has a lot of preloaded app files for you to put directly onto your phone. Just follow the simple step by step instructions.

You hit sideload it, wait till it loads and you'll get the icon pop up on your phone then you're ready to go. That's it.

Installing of snap vis sachesi is way better. Download both files. Install sachesi on your pc and plug your device to pc using USB. Then open sachesi, click on install tab and enter your device password. Your device will show there. Then install snap or any bar file by simply drag and drop.

I personally can't even get to the stage of seeing snap-latest.bar or snap-2_0_0_2.bar in the field Choose the file from the list below, I just get file not found or something like that.. Will this snap thing be made more widely available in the future?

Sideload.it is just a method to get snap. You can download snap directly from the devs website @ http://redlightoflove.com/snap and there are instructions on how to get it over to your phone which have already been listed on this thread. There isn't just one method you just have to choose one and spend the time and go through the instructions.

Can people seriously not just write "Snap for Blackberry" in Google at click the first link? They can find a forum page but can't search on Google, click the first link and follow instructions?

Maybe i'm being too hard, let me stop...

Sure I'll find another method, sideload is rubbish. I'll try again with other methods as regards snap.

There's no need to be sarcastic, with the other method a PC seems to be needed, at the moment I only have an android tablet and I would have to use my PC at work but not easy to tamper with that one without anyone noticing.

EDIT: I just managed to use my PC at work, hopefully incospicuosly enough, the page won't bloody load, useless explanation as it doesn't work for me If you get an SSL error page or it says this sites security certificate is not trusted, that's fine. It's not causing any harm. Just accept and proceed. If you get a different sort of error though, like this page cannot be found or this webpage is not available, try reconnecting your device or try a different USB port.
I'll just forget about snapon for now.

Sounds like you put in the wrong ip. If you're using the chrome method (which I'd sounds like you are) your phone and the computer need to be on the same network. Don't use the ip address listed in dev mode. But I'm sure it will be better if you use a computer that you have a little more control over.
