i downloaded a few android apps from the 3 aforementioned third party sites.
i got a few update notifications
it made me uninstall the old version and install the updated version.
that means i have to enter my settings every time i update them.
is there an easier way to update apps sourced from third party sites.
    thank you.

Snap and Amazon update, unless it's some odd app or beta. I don't use any other source.

You have to update from the same source where you got the app. Otherwise you have to uninstall and lose ur info.

Another words: u can't install from Amazon then update using Snap.

Yea it will tell you there's an update, but again, different sources.

Go to snap and pull down from the top. An updates tab will appear. If you got the app from there it will allow the update. If not, won't happen. On amazon get to the my apps section. Find the updates tab and then the same scenario described for snap will occur. Easy peasy

For this reason alone, I use only Snap. Amazon is horrible IMO.

Amazon is good for two reasons. One, you know the app will work, because nothing requiring google services is on there. Two, once in a while they have a good free app, which are pretty much the only apps from there I have installed, LoL.

Matter of choice I guess. I choose the Play Store.

No. Still hit and miss as to if the app functions or not. Give them a try, each and every application, write us a review or compile a list of working or not working and post it up.
