Default Windows 8 Tablets to get MS Office

I think that's going to be a huge thing for people, and especially businesses, being able to use Word, Excel, PP, Outlook etc on their tablets. Considering office is no $10 app either, but rather an ARM optimized version of a $150 software suite that happens to be the biggest office software in the world. Which also means it will integrate with what so many people already have on their home and workplace desktops (yes, including Mac desktops and macbooks!). From what I've read so far it's coming preinstalled. Not going to bother linking sources, there's pages full of sources when you google it.

this will be stripped down version. if outlook comes with no business contact manager then this will be useless to many. google docs work great on playbook [through android version of docs to go].

Of course it will be stripped down, that's a given, but there's been no confirmation of anything official either way so just how stripped down it may be is still up in the air. If you've found something, could you toss a link so I can check it out?

I tried "TeX" like LaTeX some times and so I know MS Word is not that great, also MS Access is not really a real powerfull data base etc.

But honestly if you do any serious stuff with them you can't compare google docs with it.

Alone MS Excel... even OpenOffice does not stand a chance in functionality...

I'm playing with excel files on the playbook at the moment. Sadly a few of them uses not supported functions (like productsum and other matrix/array functions/formulars)

But I see that it could be really great to use - at least for showing somebody a chart or quick changes.

A real full compatible MS Excel would be a killer feature for Windows 8 tablets in my opinion.

Full MS Office features for Windows 8 Tablets are the biggest threat to Google (for second place) and for Apple! in furte tablet market shares.

A stripped down version of Office would still be better than DocsToGo.

I'm using mobile Office now. It blows away DocsToGo.
