Wind Mobile BlackBerry and Google Maps
I have the Wind Mobile BlackBerry 9360 with the Google Maps version 4.5.3 successfully installed. All permissions are set to allow on the BlackBerry and the firewall is NOT enabled. When I toggle only WiFi on, it indicates that Google Maps requires a data connection. What I even tried is setting the apn of 'internet.windmobile.ca' and even that didn't work.
Upon launching Google Maps when trying to load the terms of agreement page, the error message that is received is: unknown error serious error please exit restart
BlackBerry software has been reloaded and the problem still remains. However, another BlackBerry with a different carrier has no troubles (example, Rogers, Fido, Bell, Telus) at least the ones that I had the chance to tryout.
Now the plan that's on the WindMobile blackberry is the unlimited wish plan $40 dollars with blackberry access.
Is anyone else with the similar plan and blackberries having trouble with Google Maps? Does anyone have any solution to this one here? - 12-12-2012, 04:27 PM #2
I have decided to shelf this for now, but am posting this for those who may think there may be a solution to this for me to try.

Remember, I have reloaded the blackberry software.
Reinstalled the Google Maps from scratch.
Other carrier works, but not the Wind Mobile Canada.
Confirmed that the Wind Mobile plan has full data as browsing the internet appears to be fine. - 12-13-2012, 10:16 AM #3
I upgraded my 9810's OS yesterday, and in the normal course of re-registering and setting up of my apps, I came across the very same issue with Google Maps - the T&Cs won't load. Methinks something's amiss with Google Maps.

Because google maps can search for business within the google maps application and gives me the directions and stuff.
