Just keep in mind that this is not from Wind. If you were like me and purchased an unlocked phone from Shop BlackBerry, BlackBerry pushes out the updates for these phones. Phones purchased from wind (Q10, Z10 and the Classic, sorry can't remember if they sold the Q5 or not), will likely have to wait until Wind pushes out their update.

If anyone has gotten an update on a Wind purchased phone, please let us know, otherwise stop bragging ;-). You're just confusing things here,lol!

Grab your friends Sim card from any other network and install. Just restart phone and will show up.

I just checked and the only 10.3.1 updates that I see from WIND are for the Z10 and the Classic, the Classic really doesn't count as the OS being shown is the same one the device came with. No Q10, Q5, Z30 or Passport. As both the Z30 and Passport were never sold by WIND the updates for these devices and any others bought from Shop BlackBerry will be pushed directly from BlackBerry. The Z30 update is late due to bugs in the original release being fixed.

WIND should NEVER be trusted for BlackBerry updates, they're usually one of the last in Canada to release them. When asked they blame BlackBerry for not supplying them with the updates which is never true, WIND gets them the same time as anyone else. My wife had a 9790 which she loved but WIND took 18 months after everyone else to release the 7.1 update. It's been down hill ever since. Admittedly there have been some surprises along the way but they're few and far between.

I'm guessing they must have, WIND is not showing ANY 10.3.1 releases for any device except for the Classic (although that doesn't really count as it's the same version the device was released with), it seems they've withdrawn the Z10 update for some reason.

I was talking to BlackBerry yesterday about this update and they claim this is THE update to cure all ills. I haven't received it yet for my Passport, it's due soon apparently, but according to friends of mine who've received it on their Z30s, Z10s and Q5 & 10s it's looking pretty good.

My wind purchased z10 got it today, surprisingly while I'm in the United States on Cricket wireless. Been at forever now but almost done!

My update is sitting in my Hub inbox. Doesn't specify if it's a WIND release or straight from Blackberry. I have a Q10 locked to WIND (Hamilton).
I am not a trailblazer when it comes to trusting and trying WIND tech so I would appreciate to hear from a couple brave Q10 owners on their experiences with WIND 10.3.
In return I will post a thread on my research into the safest and most inexpensive 3rd party service for unlocking my/your WIND Q10 sometime before my cancellation of service next month.

Download it. I talked to two people this morning, both very good friends of mine. One had a Q10, the other a Z10, both are on WIND. Both got the update yesterday and said their phones felt faster and other issues from the earlier updates were fixed. If you'd like I'll ask if it's OK for you to BBM them if you have any further questions. Let me know.

It was originally on Koodo but was unlocked.

My mom has a wind Q5 and she mentioned that she also saw the update pop up (had no idea what it was though) so it's not just a fluke.
