Default WiFi Question

When I'm connected to both my wireless network provider and WiFi on my BB, how can I set it so that it will use the WiFi for internet instead of the network provider? Or does it automatically use the WiFi bandwidth?

Some applications, like Google Maps, just won't work over WiFi, they are hard-coded to use the mobile network.
For the Blackberry Browser, you can go into browser options, and choose 'hotspot browser' as your default (vs. 'internet browser'), this will make the browser connect over WiFi.

I don't have a "Connection Preference" under Mobile Network. I only have
Data services: on/off
While roaming: on/off/prompt
Network selection mode: automatic/home only

CDMA devices don't have that option.
