If a battery pull doesn't work, you may have to resend your service books:
Setup > Email Accounts
You should see at least one email account; if you don't, you need to set it up again.
If it's already there, Edit it (A|cd), then hit the BB key and select Service Books. Tap the Send Service Books button.
If that doesn't get you up and running, I'd call AT&T for help.
