Default WiFi and Free Internet access

I have free internet access and so I opened my New blackberry and went straight onto the browser is that using wi fi because it's not free and I don't want a hefty charge on my bill for using somthing I should be getting free so am I using Wifi or not it just says GPRS? PLEASE HELP?! :P

You can see if your phone is currently using WiFi by opening 'Manage Connection' and service status.

It will tell you if its on WiFi there.

GPRS is your carrier signal strength and WiFi is a logo beside it, all of the symbols are explained in your user manual.

Please frnds am new to blackxerry 8320.I can't. Browse bcos any time I want browse d phone ask me to setup my wi fi.I need some explain in details how I can setup my wi fi

@Navok Welcome! There is a CrackBerry help video for Wi-Fi here: Setting Up Wifi On Your BlackBerry Smartphone | CrackBerry.com .

Basically go into Manage Connections (the antenna icon) and add a new Wi-Fi connection.
