Default What do the wifi service books do? I deleted mine and wifi still works

Hi

I was having a problem connecting to BIS through wifi, so i deleted the wifi service books with the view to getting them send again but since i deleted then the phone connects to BIS through wifi no problem and the service books haven't come back..and the BB sign shows im connected via wifi to BIS

So what do the wifi service books do if i can still access wifi without them?

The service books connect your phone to the BIS/BES servers via that network. When you are connected to Wi-Fi you are bypassing the GSM/CDMA radio towers in your area. As to why you can access BIS/BES servers i have no clue. It's been years since i've mess with hacking blackberries.
