mywi from iPhone 4 doesnt create an infrastructure network....?

I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 and mywi wifi hotspot is installed.
When it broadcasts the SSID, every other wifi enabled devices (laptops, macbooks, iPad or even other iPhones) can read the network and connect to it successfully but my Berries.

I dug into it and heard that mywi only creates ad-hoc network, not infrastructure network which BB require. Hence, BB wont recognize.

Is it true? Any work around?
