there is no such thing as a boost CDMA network, boost (nextel) fun on what is know as an IDEN network, nowever Sprint PCS run's on a CDMA network.

they are 2 completely different technologies, trust me, i work at the sprint world head quarters and they maintain both networks seperatly.

if you want a palm pre, you would have to go to a sprint store, and sign up for a sprint plan, and cancel your old boost plan. CDMA phones can not run on an IDEN network. the only exeption to this is if a CDMA phone is built to piggy back off of an IDEN network, to utilixe the direct connect feature, but that's it. so if you want a palm pre, your gonna have to bite the bullet and get a sprint plan, but the sprint 69.99 unlimited plan is what i have, it's only 10 more bucks than the boost blackberry one, and the 3g/4g is awesome.

hope this helps

Dude, you don't know what you're talking about. There is, indeed, Boost CDMA. Boost Mobile Coverage Map | Boost Mobile

As for the OP, I don't know if you can get a webOS or android phone to work with Boost CDMA. A Tour or WinMo phone probably wouldn't be too much problem, but I don't know about a Pre.

This is partiallyi true. Boost moible is part of Sprint and when it first launced years ago it had CDMA Phones and plans on it. (They just didn't advertise it) Now Boost Mobile does have CDMA (um the blackberry and the incognito and the mirror) I have personally setup a few windows mobile phones to work with boost moible..(and no I don't work for Sprint) The caveat is that you must first activate or port your number to one of the CDMA phones that boost sells. After you do that you can then call in to CSR and just tell them you are had an issue with your phone and would like to have your number switeched to another handset (must be a Sprint Branded phone) you have. They will ask for the ESN and take you through a process and then your phone will work....

These people that say they work for Sprint or AT&T lie most of the time. If he really worked for them he would know this. But then againhow many times do you call Sprint Customer SErvice only to discover you know more than the rep on the phone.. so maybe he does work for Sprint... LOL
