Default Palm Pre has pinch zoom and flick scroll

As the title says... Not an apple trademark or anything. Palm pre is pretty nifty. I'm not sold on the tiny keyboard but it really does look and feel nice.

You have a link to that documentation or did you hear that somewhere? Not trolling I am genuinely interested in reading more on this.

who cares about pinch

flick scrolling would be nice. accel rolodex has it, makes it easier and faster to find numbers, be cool to have it in the browser.

I just read that entire article and nowhere in there did I find that either party was suing the other. From the looks of it the iphone is living on a few patents that palm owns.

Yeah, I don't see how someone could own a patent on something that is just commons sense like pinching to make something smaller, and reversing it to make it larger. Does Motorola own the patent on making the talk button green and the end button red?

Pinch zooming actually makes a huge difference....its much more efficient. I suppose since the storm's web browser is pretty terrible and takes forever to load and reload when you zoom in, pinch zooming might be a little too advanced.

I was a storm owner, but switching to the pre really points out the weak sides of the storm. But storm fanbois will always defend the inferior device for some reason...

Preference is preference.

Some people actually prefer resistant touchscreens too... Also, you'd be surprised at the idiotic crap that gets patented...

I like the new Pre, its ok, wish they'd spent a bit less on the screen and a bit more on the materials to put it together though.
