Default Notification 'LED' ?

I've been using a BB Curve for 2 years and I'm totally reliant on the LED notification that alerts me to when I have a message, email, or missed call.

Is there anything like this on the Palm Pre? Or is the only way to see notifications is to activate the screen and see the notification icons?

I know on my Pre Plus the little white line will flash in the gesture area if there's a msg.

So in other words, without having to activate the screen at all, the white line in the gesture area flashes to alert you? I just want to make sure that you don't need to do anything on the phone just to see if you have any messages, I like the way my BB tells me this with just a quick glance down at my phone.

Thanks.

yep. you don't have to do anything. the default is the white light will blink on the bottom of the phone.

i would say this is one of the big things i didn't realize i had grown so reliant on, especially to know what kind of notification is being shown by color coding, still it is not a deal breaker for me.

As said above, not very bright, no different colors, doesn't work on everything. It's horrible. In the day time I couldn't see it, at night it made my ceiling glow.
