No video camera on the pre ???

My friend has a pre and says there is no video camera on there.... Is there an upgrade coming with this feature or a program for the phone to work like a video camera ?

Palm stated before the Pre launched, or right when it launched that video would be coming. Lisa Brewster from Pre Central and now working for Palm said expect it in a major update before years end.

as it stands the pre has no video camera only a normal camera

If you look inside the audioTelephone-assistant.js file in the apps directory under com.palm.app.deviceinfo you will fine how to write the code for a voice recorder. There is a method "RecordSound" in the palm://com.palm.crotest" service which will do what we want.
