Default Just bought one for the **** of it

So, I've been working for Verizon for some time now, and the Pre Plus has intrigued me for awhile. I'm currently using a Droid and I had a 5th line open on my account.

I ordered the phone, holster, screen protectors, and touchstone for $203 today and I should see it tomorrow.

I was once an avid user of WinMo (i760, Omnia, Saga), then moved to BB (Curve, Tour), then finally ended with my Droid. I hope to use both my Droid and Pre Plus together and get the most out of both apps.

To me, I think Palm has a bad rap behind them. With Verizon now pushing no MIR rebates in the stores, I think Palm may pick up a little. It's just such a niche market, not enough people really care about it.

Yeah i was reading the article on PALM in the wall street journal this morning and many believe this company is on the edge of being done. In the last past 6 weeks the stock has plunged 55 %. It seems hard to believe treos were the smart phone standard not so long ago.

Palm Just Never Really Stepped Up To The Game.

i purchased a Palm Pre the day it came to sprint. loved the OS!! BUT it has it shortcomings. an example would be: you can copy and paste but only from the text your wrote yourself. Also battery life sucked. I work in the field, so for the battery life alone this phone had to go back.

Palms current lineup= Great OS + terrible hardware = bad sales

I agree. The software was ok, bit the hardware was problematic. I had issues with the screen. There were always faded spots. I went through 5 in one week. The slides was loose after just the first days use. There are also limitations In the operating system. Las tly, did anyone notice that the icons didn't quite match the resokution of the screen? They reminded me of the Dimension theme icons from the older Blackberry devices. They should have been sharper in my opinion.
