Bold 9900/9930 is going to be one killer BB phone...9000 Bold dimensions with a touchscreen....wonder if Stevo at Apple can design such a device....
You've got to be kidding - have a look at the iPod nano.

The one thing that's really nice with the TouchPad and a HP phone is the fact that you can see incoming text/sms messages and reply to them from the TouchPad when both device are close enough to eachother. This is SUPER useful. I'm not sure why RIM didn't add that as part of the Bridge.

I had seen the phone/tablet integration from HP well before the PlayBook was even out and when it did come out I kind of expected BB Bridge functionality to have everything HP has and more. Instead it seems HP has more integration features than RIM which surprises me really.

If that's the most important thing to you maybe you just need an iPod? Wait, do those even do bluetooth? Who knows who cares, but playbook is a rather expensive media player don't you think?

HP is doing a lot of talking about how great the TouchPad is! The last time I used a Palm device goes to my Treo days. Nonetheless I digress, I suspect that the TouchPad will be all sizzle and no steak!

I'm 100% sure the TouchPad is a very strong contender in this market. HP will launch it with way more 'essential' apps than the PlayBook did at launch. Heck, it will probably have more essential apps than the PlayBook does right now even. It will also have more enterprise oriented apps right at launch. Anyone seen the Citrix receiver app in the videos? Email and calendar with ActiveSync support? Office? Solid printing? It's all there. HP has all the bases covered with this. And with the Mojo 'legacy app support' they can boast a lot more available apps right off the bat as well.

And... WebOS rocks. It's so slick, in many ways slicker than iOS even. iOS improved their notifications lately but the WebOS ones are still way better. Then there's HP's marketing. They're going to launch a MASSIVE marketing effort. The TouchPad will be everywhere so unlike with the PlayBook launch, people will know about the TouchPad including 'average Joe'.

Seriously folks, I really do love my PlayBook and the TouchPad will not replace it because I still believe RIM can catch up and because of the smaller form factor but the TouchPad is definitely the most serious threat besides Apple right now.

Just to illustrate how HP is going for the prize here's another killer blow:

Skype integrated on TouchPad

The PlayBook really needs this stuff too!

I don't know you may be right that webos and Windows 7 will not survive just the same way QNX and Blackberry will not survive. Only 1 platform(Apple iPhone) to rule them all.
Right now only good thing about Blackberry is their keyboard, which they are abandoning for QNX full touchscreen phone. I don't know without their keyboard and BBM, who are going to buy Blackberries.
If this happens someone just ikill me! I don't want what Jobs is peddling. Yes they are great devices but not what I want in a device. The HP could be, the playbook could be, when win8 comes that may be.

How much more do you need to buy and pay for to make the iproducts do things most of the others all ready do with no extra purchase? Want to view your screen on your tv, here you go buy an itv or whatever they call it. How much is the camera connect kit?

I don't see where an over priced music player comes into the discussion but wow what an innovation, a tiny music player.

Kindle,Email,Calendar,Citrix, Acrobat Reader,Quick Office and lots of other apps are there on launch date for Touchpad.
But seriously Playbook is not a competition for Touchpad and it will never be.
Touchpad will be the only serious competition for iPad2.
iPad2 will always be the best tablet in the market but Touchpad will easily be the second best.

Btw touchpad has the cool feature of receiving message and answering calls forwarded by Pre 3 or veer, this is seriously a great way to have interaction between your devices.

Has anyone got the HP Touchpad yet? What apps does it actually have? Does it actually have a kindle app? Just wondering since they dont list the app at all in the kindle app page.
