Default Current Pre owner very pleased with their device

Chime in here if you are very pleased with your pre. I myself have been a sprint subscriber for 6 years and will not change carriers cause I have no issues with sprints service and their price is great. I used my upgrade that has been sitting dormant for over a year waiting on a great and new device to use it on and the pre came along. I was using an 8330 for over a year and made the mistake of getting an ipod touch to replace my 80 gig ipod and the web browser and html email on that thing was like dam, I see why many people wanted to switch to ATT. It started getting to the point where my beloved curve just felt out dated, it would take forever to send mms and when I would receive one I would get a link to a low res picture Then the pre and tour came along I waited until both were in stores for hands on.....the tour was nice but the pre won me over despite all the negative posts about the device here on crackberry. I'm very pleased with everything this phone can do granted the keyboard took some adjusting now it feels great to me, mms works smooth as butter and the pictures this thing takes are great, the browser is excellent my email works great and the html email shows up perfectly. Over all I am very pleased with this phone and no regrets using my upgrade for this device. I wish it would have came out sooner, its crazy how much I'm on this phone using data 550 MB and I'm not even halfway through my billing cycle.

Also I'm so pleased with how snappy sprint navigation pulls up and loads the maps as well as sprint tv and FINALLY having youtube that's worth watching on my sprint mobile device! I'm very satisfied with this device, if you are a CURRENT PRE OWNER or just have questions about the device because you may be thinking about getting one chime in, if you plan on trolling or starting flame wars please move along in other words if you don't want one and dismiss the phone this thread is not aimed at you.

The curve is so old. Not comparable to an apple! My Verizon guy tells me sprint is great. The pre is very capable and has a web os to be desired. From a business standpoint, a blackberry messaging is trump. You should watch you tube on the big gorgeous screen of the storm. Congrats on your new phone! I love when people aren't blackberry users and post hear anyway! I love the support you get with a BB!

I'll be interested in the Pre when it comes over to VZW. I hope the hardware is tightened up as well.. IDK about those weird palm commercials with Tamara Hope.. She looks scary as ****..
I'd still throw the bone though

LOL, those commercials are the type that leave you with that blank stare on your face..... and they are kind of creepy. If vzw is you carrier give it a test drive if you are eligible for upgrade when it comes out.

All youtube videos look like crap on the blackberrys browser. The videos were always grainy. Due to the fact rim didnt take advantage of the storms screen size, I dont miss it one bit. Looked great on movies though.

+1 also here on behave of my wife, she had hers for 5 weeks with not a single issue, I also was looking at hers for the oreo twist and its as tight as the day we bought it, I have the Tour and so far so good but I had to replace it for mainly the muffled sound and loose battery door, but ended up with a bad screen ripple just by holding the phone and not pressing on anything, I am just about had it with the quality of the Tour and thinking about switching to the Pre (I use the browser a lot) have 20 more days to decide.

I bought mine on Saturday and so far I am in love though I am scared sh@tless Ill break it! I love the way the screen and gesture area work but my typing leaves a lot to be desired. In all fairness, on my Centro I sucked at it too, as well as on my Curve (work phone). I just suck at typing on anything other than a real keyboard.

My only real wish is that it had more controllable sound features but I might put a homebrew app on for that. The alarm scared the CRAP out of me this morning and the husband was not pleased with it either. That's my fault, I didn't move the same sound I used on my Centro over and it was cranked up.

Lol that's funny about the alarm, granted the keyboard takes a short while to adjust to. Great to see all of the positive responses, I wanted to start a thread for pre users who currently own one and are very pleased with it. I would like to see a pic of the rocketfish case as well. Are there any silicone type cases available yet?

Seidio and PreCentral's store have some snap on rubbery kind but I haven't seen any silicone. That's going to be a difficult one being that it's 2 pieces.

Very happy with my Pre, it runs circles around my 8330 Curve. Matter of fact the only thing I miss is beyond411. I can do the same thing with apps on the Pre, but not as easily or effective. The big selling point to BB, messaging, is so much more user friendly, intuitive, and visually pleasant on the Pre.

I'm currently using a Cellbat case with a Phantom Skin. Makes my Pre as durable as my BB. Well I still wouldn't want to drop it often, while Curve took numerous nosedives because I wasn't anywhere near as careful with it.
