Vodafone Ireland and 7.1 Issues
Hello,
Vodafone has admitted that OS 7.1 is not 100% compatible with there network. After a month of issue since they released there official 7.1.0.342. Phones are there network with this OS will reboot when switching form 3G to 2G. It took a new phone and a new SIM card, but they have finally admitted that there is a problem and have notified RIM. If anyone is on Vodafone Ireland and finding there phone randomly rebooting since upgrading to 7.1, you can either downgrade back to 7.0, or set the phone to 3G only (or 2G only) mode. This is not a great solution because Vodafone 3G coverage in Ireland is not great. As for when a fix will be available they could not say. Only that they are now aware of it and working with RIM on a solution.

Not sure how many people were affected by this, since in was only a Vodafone Ireland issue, but has 7.1.0.649 has fixed it. This is still not an official release but I would guess it will be soon. I installed this OS and change the phone to 3G 2G mode and the phone now witches back and forth without rebooting. I've been running it for a week and has not rebooted. All other OS would reboot many times a day, since 3G coverage where i live is weak.
