Vodafone India,,edge/EDGE issues...

i have an unlocked verizon storm 2 9550 running on vodafone india..i have an active data plan and used all the features without any problems for about 6 months...but recently i m unable 2 use any of d data services for reasons beyond my knowledge..firstly EDGE has turned into a lower case edge..the host routing table shows no entries and i have only service books for d wifi functions..called customer care,,tried all stunts,wiping n reloading latest os,resent service books n all dat jazz but nothin happens..so finally i went 2 d vodafone store n these guys tell me dat d verizon unlocked handset is useless n dat m d 91st customer wid this problem for verizon handset..if this is so den how was i able 2 use it for 6 months??? guys i need help on this..plz help me get my storm 2 up n runnin again!!!

Having the same problem as you with my Sprint BB Tour. It worked in Mumbai 3 months ago. Went to Vodafone and they said that it was a server problem - they have changed something that has locked out my phone. The SIM card is working in a local BB phone but not on a Sprint phone. Guess it's just another way to scam the public, by forcing us to buy a new phone here. Pretty pissed off at Vodafone.

is the service book and the vendor file are updated?

Probably pin is blocked....I'm only guessing. Hope you get it resolved.

well d service books r upto date,,dunno bout d vendor file...but m runnin a hybrid 1074...regarding d pin dun think its blocked cos i was using it without trouble for 6 months atleast..d problem started when i started roamin..n even when roamin it works fine but d moment it reboots,, wham!! all gone..edge appears in small case,,browsers disappear n its as gud as a brick...m really considerin giving up on dis fone.... hope u guys help me out..

Maybe you should load official os and delete hybrid os from device

Vodafone has some issues with OS6 in india I would recommend using OS5

i am fcing a similar problem with Storm 2 . Although in my case i have capital EDGE but i have no data Transfer . I got the 399 unlimited BI plan from a different state and it was working Fine but when i came to Pune . It wont lemme register to BIS . How can i go ahead and do that ? or update the log books
